A Relaxing Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We have had such a great week. We desperately needed to slow down and have some time at home just relaxing! And that is exactly what we did! The kids and I enjoyed sleeping in every morning and playing board games, and not having anywhere to go all week! Jeff and Shari came Wed night and spent the night with us and then we went to the Robbins (Shane's parents) for Thanksgiving day, and Friday Wendy and her sweetest boys came till Sunday! We have loved all the company! So nice to be with family and cousins! Wendy came Friday and surprised us by staying till Sunday and going to church with us! We LOVED having her! Here are some pictures of all the fun we've been having! The kids have relaxed and rested so much we actually feel ready for Monday morning!

I am so blessed with the 2 most amazing kids, and the bestest husband, and my precious family..on both sides! Happy Thanksgiving....grateful-Tricia

Family camping trip

We had a great camping trip this labor day weekend with our little family. We went to Trace State Park and camped out Friday night. (We've never seen Ethan so excited about anything!!!) :) We had a fire and roasted marshmallows and told stories, and played some Frisbee golf and had a blast! :)

Here are some pictures of Morgans first day of school and a few pics from 4Th of July! Things are slowing down here, and school is back in full swing. I am enjoying teaching violin and piano in the mornings MTW while the kids are in school. Shane has started seminary and is enjoying that. We are good and miss everyone back home! :) Shane and Tricia and Morgan and Ethan...growing up TOO quick! :)

Family Vacation

Hello to all!! We have returned back home form a GREAT vacation to Orange Beach! :) We had such a great trip and really enjoyed getting away. We went for an entire week and ventured back and forth from the beach to the pool all day long. We would get up and eat breakfast in the room each morning, then enjoy the beach and go back up for sandwiches for lunch and back on the beach. Then every night we went out for dinner. On Wed night Shane's parents (who went with us)kept the kids and Shane and I went out alone. It was such a great night! :) The first full day we were there we found out it was mating season for the jelly fish! We couldn't get in the water that day but we caught probably 20 jelly fish and made a pool for them in the sand!!! It was amazing!! We all got stung too! No biggie tho. The second day they were all pretty much gone and we were able to get in the water the rest of the week. It was soooo warm and beautiful! The kids loved it ALL. :)The kids burried their daddy in the sand one day and made many sand castles with him also! :)

Morgan and Ethan have just finished swim lessons!! They went all week and have truly learned to swim. We are so proud of those cuties!!! They were so brave!! :)

Shane has recently gotten his award letter from Liberty Seminary program. He is looking forward to starting this fall. Actually in August.

The kids and I are looking forward to going home to Knoxville very soon as soon as we can! :) We miss Grand momma and Poppa so much! :)

Hope you all are well...a BIG Happy Father's Day to my amazing hubby and to my precious dad (poppa!). I love you both.

Enjoy the pictures....it was a needed trip that we were so grateful to get to take. God Bless :) TR

Ethan's Preschool Program

This is video of Ethan's preschool program at Calvary Baptist Church on May 2nd, 2008. Ethan's teacher is Mrs. Christian Williams. You'll see in the video that Morgan was invited to pass out programs with other kindergartners who had siblings in the program. Her class also led us through the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the National Anthem. They were both sooooo cute so prepare your heart to melt!!!

Tricia's First Marathon!

Where do I begin??~~ I had such a great experience running this race!! Thanks to my awesome family for coming up and surprising me and supporting me.!!! I was so GRATEFUL for all of you to be there! Thanks to Shane Robbins!! Your the man baby!! He inspired me thru all the training and he and Ethan and Morgan were so supportive!!! I LOVED MY SIGNS TOO!!! I loved hearing Wayne on the video screaming for me over and over. That was so great!!! And getting a hug from April, Mom and Dad was such a rush! Thanks to Wendy for running those last HARD miles with me! You were so encouraging girl!!! Everytime I run I tell the Lord that I'm running for HIM and I love to worship Him while I run and pray. I could see His hand helping thru this one for sure!

I didn't even start the race until 7:45AM ( I was in coral 20!!!)so my time is 45 minutes off at the end, but it's right from my shoe clip on the race website. 6 HOURS AND 14 MINUTES. I felt really sad about my time. In my training I had completed 20 miles in 4 and a half hours, so I was hoping to beat 6 hours....just break it. Oh well. Next time baby!! The night before the race Shane and the kids and I went to a great pasta restaurant and Wayne and Erin surprised us there!!! That was incredible!! I yelled so hard when I saw them!! (Congrats to Wayne on his new position as "worship leader" in NY NY!!!) I tried to eat bland...spaghetti, but right before bed that night I finished off Shane's left over fettuccine and shrimp dish and the next morning before we left for the race at 6am, Shane was a little sick at his stomach with dirreah, and by the time I got to the race it hit me!!! From before the race started to about half way thru I had it bad!!! I'm sure my nerves were contributing also!! The entire first half of the race I was so sick at my stomach! I used the Porta potties so many times. I know all that hurt my time...whine whine i know!!! But seriously!!! Finally about mile 13 I stopped pooping and got in my groove!!!! UNTIL ABOUT MILE 21!!! By that point I was ready for it to be the end!!! I learned lots this first time!!! :) I will say, that I LOVED running this race!!! It was amazing seeing thousands and thousands of runners all together as far as you could see!! I LOVED it!!
MY friend Julie has been such a HUGE help to me thru all my training (since January) and she is an awesome runner and friend. I love her to pieces. She was running the half and believe it or not we passed each other going opposite ways!! It was the biggest rush!! What are the chances!? 30,000 people ran this thing!!

I have fallen in love with running. I have a long way to go for sure. To be honest, I have fallen in love with the long runs!! I def. want to run another marathon next year, and some halves this year. I've got to get faster first.!!! I am as slow as a turtle...I just love going the distance...just slowly! :) I want to fix that.

I really love looking at God's creation, listening to worship music, and being alone with my Father!! It is such a blessing to run with and for Him. He has blessed me and our little family over and over.

Before I stop rambling..I also gotta thank everyone sho kept texting me thru this one baby!! Thanks Traci for your encouragement girrly.....I loved my bath afterwards with all my goodies!!, thanks Shari for thinking of me that morning, thanks Julie....I kicked in in gear that last mile when I read you and your girls stopped and prayed for me!!!, thanks to my family!!! Enjoy the video my hubby worked so hard on!! Please excuse all my cellulite!!!! Praise Jesus for this one!!!

Much love and excitement!! :)

Ethan's First Tee-ball Game

>">

This is video of Ethan's first Tee-ball game! He plays for the Sports Country Team from Tupelo but they play their games at Sherman, about 15 minutes from Tupelo. He is number "7" on the team! They really just let the kids hit and field. There really isn't a "game" in that they score runs and get outs, but it is REALLY fun to watch!!!
